Moka, Ashley Centre, Epsom
This cafe sits right on the edge of the Ashley Centre with a large inside seating area and plenty of tables outside. Inside is nothing to write home about; spacious with a huge glass counter but somewhat lacking in atmosphere, although the seating outside more than makes up for this. The tables are placed opposite a flower shop and on the day I visited there was a pleasant waft of scent from the flowers displayed outside.
A friend had recommended I try the coffee here and I was really pleased I did. My cappuccino was delicious with a deep creamy froth on top. The coffee was smooth, hot and just the right strength. Moka serve a huge range of food including burgers, wraps, salads, breakfasts and danish pastries. The food all looked very appetising.
I would definitely recommend this for a visit on a sunny day when you can sit outside and watch the world go by.
