The Happy Bean

Camden Coffee House, London NW5

The Camden Coffee House is located in Camden, North London within easy reach of the Camden Lock, Camden Markets and only a few hundred yards from the tube station. Something to note, however, is that the tube station is exit only on a Sunday due to the amount of tourists heading to the markets.

On offer are a wide variety of coffees, bagels, cookies, milkshakes and smoothies. I’ve tried out many of their drinks including coffees and milkshakes and have always been impressed. Their coffees are a good strength with thick, creamy froth and are generous in size. The milkshakes are huge and taste amazing!

The cafe interior is clean and modern with exposed piping and chic swivel chairs. There is also a hidden garden out the back which is surrounded on 3 sides by bamboo screening. On the other side are a few trees scattered about which really add a lot, especially in the middle of London! The garden has tables and chairs with parasols and is great on a warm day when the sun is out. It’s also amazingly quiet considering it’s location.

Service is friendly and there’s a rewards card scheme in place (5′th Coffee free). There is also a word of the day on their website, enabling 10% off the bill – always handy!

All in all, The Camden Coffee house is a great place – I highly recommend a visit :) !

Coffee “generous” in size shouldn’t really be a kay point of a review. If I want a pint of scalding milk I’d go elsewhere. Camden coffee are doing some good work (grind on demmand if a huge leap up) and are ahead of the chain gangs. Bit of work till they can compete with the top cafes. Kepp up the good work Camden coffee
